This tutorial covers how to create your Free Google Analytics Account, Create a Google Analytics Property, Create an Analytics Account ID, and how to install it on your website with Blazonco.
Step 1
To begin, you'll need a Google Analytics account. To set up a Google Analytics account, go to https://analytics.google.com. If you already have a Google Analytics account, skip to step 5.
Step 2
To set up a Google Analytics account, you must first have a general Google Account. You can create a Google Account for yourself here

If you use Gmail or any other Google products, you most likely already have a Google account, as all of Google's products are linked together in this way. To make the Analytics sign up easier, go ahead and sign into your Google account on your browser by clicking this link: https://myaccount.google.com/
Step 3
Once you've created your general Google Account, return to https://analytics.google.com. Google will walk you through setting up your Google Analytics account.
Step 4
Follow the steps to create your Google Analytics account. This will involve entering your website name, website address, industry category, and a few other details. If you aren't sure what to do, Google's support section can help. (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1042508)
Property: Should just be your Website address, you will have the choice to chose between an "http" and "https" before you enter your domain name. You must ensure that your site is using https and is secured with a Security Certificate prior to selecting https in this step. (See step titled "See how to correctly format your domain name" from the Google support instructions)
Tracking ID: All you need to set up the Google Analytic's Add On offered to you with your Blazonco website, is locate your Analytics ID. Check out these instructions:

Step 6
Log in to your site's admin dashboard (https://admin.blazonco.com).
Step 7
Click “Add-Ons” in the main navigation, and then click “Available Add-Ons.”
Step 8
Scroll down and find the add-on called “Google Analytics.” Click “Activate.”
Step 9
Enter your Google Analytics Tracking ID in the field titled “Google Analytics Account Code.”
If you'd like to track when visitors leave your site, select “Yes” for “Google Analytics Outbound Link Tracking,” and then select any of the exit methods you'd like Google Analytics to track. If you're not sure about this, it's best to simply select all of them to let Google track everything.
Step 10
Click “Save and Activate.” Google Analytics is now installed on your site. It will typically take a few hours for data to begin appearing in your Google Analytics account. You can test if your installation was successful by "Sending Test Data"

3. Under your Property settings, Click Tracking Info
4. Click the "Send Test Traffic" button
