Our FAQ's section is a good place to start if you have questions on a Blazonco site. We will continue to build out this section as new functionality is added and new questions arise.

General

  • What are the system requirements to use the admin tool?

    Our platform is optimized for FireFox 4+, IE 7+, and Safari 5+. Please see our Software Requirements page for more information.

  • Does Blazonco work on a Mac?

    Yes. We support FireFox 4+ and Safari 5+ on the Mac platform. Please see our Software Requirements page for more information.

  • Can I create multiple Pages?

    Yes. Our page manager allows you to create an unlimited amount of pages. You can access the page manager in the Content section of the admin.

  • Once I create my website can I make adjustments to it at any time?

    Yes. Your website's content can be adjusted at any time. Our versioning system allows you to edit pages and preview changes before your customers do so that you can make the change just right before it goes live. If you don't like a change, you can also roll back to a previous version of a page at any time.

  • Can I transfer my current website to Blazonco?

    Yes. We have a staff of designers and programmers dedicated to producing new sites and porting older sites over to our platform. Please contact us for a consultation to discuss what we can do to transition your site to our platform. Call us toll-free at 888-600-1030.

  • How do we know Blazonco won't just close up shop one day?

    Blazonco was founded by Pinacol, Inc., a website development company that has been in business since 1998.

  • Is Blazonco a Blogging platform?

    Yes and No. Blazonco was built with businesses in mind. We have built Posts and Commenting into Blazonco to provide the ability to produce content in a structured format and allow your customer / clients to provide feedback. This functionality resembles "blogging", but was built for business.

  • Does Blazonco support a site map?

    We currently do not generate an html or xml site map, but we have identified this need and plan to include it at a later date. Currently users can create a site map statically using our site map properties panel, or the sub navigation module.

Designs

  • Do you have enough pre-designed templates so that my site doesn't look the same as many of your clients' pre-existing sites?

    Our system offers several color variations for each template, and our flexible page editor allows content to be presented in a variety of ways making each site unique. We are constantly working to offer more templates each month.

Domains / Hosting

  • Does my site have to be hosted with you?

    Yes. Our plans only allow a site to be hosted on our servers. Your domain can be hosted elsewhere and we supply directions on how to point a domain at our servers to make the process as straightforward as possible.

  • Can I use my existing website address / domain if I host with you?

    Yes. Please see our domain documentation for information to make this change.

  • Do you offer emergency after hours support?

    We do not currently offer after hours support. Our hours are 9am - 6pm PST, Monday - Friday. Our servers are monitored 24 / 7, 7 days a week to ensure maximum up-time.

  • Do you design / host adult websites?

    No. Adult content violates our Terms & Conditions and is not allowed on our platform.

  • How secure is my website from hackers or any other criminal action?

    Blazonco is hosted in a highly secure co-location facility in Los Angeles and uses SSL to ensure the only people who can access our admin are those authorized. While we cannot prevent someone from logging into your site if they have acquired your username and password we make nightly backups of all data. We encourage all users to use passwords that are not easily guessed. Please see our section on Passwords for more information on crafting a strong password. If you think your account has been compromised please contact asap and we will help to fix the problem.

  • Does Blazonco support SSL?

    The Blazonco admin tool is secured with SSL. For our Authorize.net E-commerce clients we setup SSL to ensure your customer's shopping experience is secure.

  • What happens if my certificate expires?

    We purchase your certificate in 2 year increments and will renew it as long as your an active client.

  • Is anonymous hosting available?

    Yes. If you purchase a domain through us you can specify to have a domain marked as private for a nominal fee. If you have already purchased a domain please view our Domains section of Help for more information.

Files

  • Can I upload my own Images to my site?

    Yes. Our file manager and page editor make image uploading easy and there is no limit to the numbers of images you can upload.

  • Can I upload / add videos to my site?

    Yes. Our file manager accepts videos, but they must be an FLV encoded video in order to display on your site. We currently restrict file uploads to 32 MBs in order to ensure the performance of all sites running on our servers, but there are additional options if your company needs to showcase larger videos. If you videos are currently hosted elsewhere, you can display them with an embedded video player such as YouTube. Directions on video embedding can be found in the Video section of help.

  • How do I use Flash on my site?

    We currently have two modules that use Flash, The Tiny Video Module allows you to quickly add a single video to a page, and the Media Player which allows multiple images and videos to be added to a page. For instructions on how to add one of these modules to your site please view the Media section of Help. Custom Flash can also be added to a site through the HTML button in the content editor toolbar.

Marketing

  • Is there a limit to the size of my customer database?

    No. You can grow your customer database at no additional cost.

  • Is Blazonco Search Engine Optimized (SEO) friendly?

    Yes. We built Blazonco from the ground-up with SEO in mind, and have put in the tools to allow you to further optimize your content for search engines. For more information on SEO please see the SEO section of help.

  • Can I make my website in two languages?

    No. We currently do not support multiple languages, but have identified this need and are looking to implement at some point.

Billing

  • Are there hidden charges?

    No. We have done our best to make our costs as transparent as possible. Our plans are all-inclusive as listed, but we do offer premium add-ons that have additional monthly costs, such as E-Commerce and Video hosting, as these add-ons have monthly costs that are dictated by usage.

  • Am I stuck in a contract or can I cancel at anytime?

    You are free to cancel at anytime by contacting support. We will keep a backup copy of your site in case you ever decide to return. If you have purchased a domain through us there is a $20 charge to transfer the domain.

  • Can I reinstate an unpublished site I deleted when I canceled my account?

    Yes. At the time of cancellation we make a backup of your site in case you ever decide to return. If you have deleted page content you can always roll-back to a previous version through our page manager.

Custom Integration / Misc.

  • Can I put embeddable forums on my site?

    Depending on the embed code this may be possible, but due to the variety of forums it is difficult to say. We currently support Disqus forums and have built a module for easy integration on your web pages.

  • Can I extend Blazonco with custom programming?

    Blazonco supports HTML and CSS programming within content. We are working daily to improve your experience and expand functionality and encourage input from our users. If you have a custom need that we have not addressed please contact us as we may already have your custom need on our road map, or can consult on what would be required to develop custom for your site.

  • I have some PHP code on my website that a nephew made for me, can I use that?

    No. We do not support external PHP code, but if you contact support we can discuss the code functionality and if there are any plans to implement a similar function.

  • Can my site have JavaScript?

    We use JavaScript and CSS to construct our templates, but do not allow users to edit this code. If you have a custom need that cannot be accomplished in our current system please contact us and we will consult on what can be done to address your needs.

  • Can I add a calendar to my site?

    Yes. Blazonco has built an event calendar system that allows for the easy creation of a calendar page and event detail pages.

  • Can I add animation to my site? Such as characters?

    Depending on your needs, this may be able accomplish with the HTML button in the content editor for advanced users. We have a team of Flash developers with years of experience in building high-end experiential websites for Fortune 500 clients. Please contact support if you need custom Flash or animation developed for your site.
